Casadei E450 PM PreMilling Compact Edgebander

The Casadei Industria E450 Compact is a track-feed edgebander with integrated pre-milling capability — a combination that has not previously been available at this class of machine. The heavy track-feed system ensures consistent panel control throughout the cycle, whilst the counter-rotating diamond pre-milling unit removes up to 3mm from the panel edge before glueing, correcting any inaccuracy from the panel saw and producing a straight, clean glue line.

The glue unit operates with six heating elements producing 1,315W of heating power, reaching working temperature from ambient in 14–16 minutes and from standby in 4–6 minutes. Glue is applied directly to the panel face, accommodating plastic or wood coil edging up to 3mm thick.

Automatic front and rear end-trimming, high-frequency flush trimming, and vertical disc copiers are all fitted as standard. The flush-trimming unit runs at 12,000rpm with Widia disposable-knife tooling, and vertical copiers of 120mm diameter ensure accurate profile-following on both faces of the workpiece.

The stock machine is supplied with the LOSPA3 buffing unit — two independent 0.16kW motors at 1,400rpm for finishing ABS and PVC edges — and the LORSCL glue-scraping unit for removal of excess adhesive at the panel-to-edge joint. A comprehensive range of further options is available, including infrared panel heating, profile scraping, polishing spray, anti-adhesive spray, and an interchangeable glue pot.
